About Us
Introduction
Our community hall was originally provided to the village as a school by Lord Thurlow. The school was built in 1875 with the aim of supporting children from the less advantaged families in the parish. In 1974 the school closed, and the hall was conveyed to the village trustees for the princely sum of £500. Since then, the hall has been managed by a group of trustees and the Parish Council. Several minor improvements have taken place, including central heating, new windows, a kitchen and toilet extension and some development of the car park area.

The Lord Thurlow village hall is a vitally important venue to bring the community together and we have regular hirers and several get-togethers throughout the year to cater for a wide range of interests.
